HOW IT WORKS
Your Amcor dehumidifier draws air through two filters onto a refrigerated cold
coil. As the air in the room passes over the cold surface, moisture condenses and
collects into a removable water tank. The drier, slightly warmer air is then expelled
through the air outlet with movable louvres on top of the unit into the room
The dehumidifier controls the moisture level and protects your furniture, precious
possessions and decor from the damaging effects of excessive moisture. Your
dehumidifier is also great for drying the laundry, but not in permanent humid areas
such as the bathroom!
When the water tank is full, a micro switch automatically stops the unit and an
indicator light signals the need to empty the tank.
If preferred a continuous drainage hose connected to the bottom of the unit can be
used to drain the water.
SAVE ENERGY It takes less energy to warm dry air than damp humid air!

PLACEMENT
Your AMCOR dehumidifier will begin to protect your home from the harmful effects
of excessive moisture as soon as it is turned on.
Excess moisture travels throughout your home, in the same way that cooking
smells spread to every room in the house. For this reason, the dehumidifier
should be positioned in a central and clear location so that it can draw this moist
air towards it from all over the home. A warm hallway or landing is an excellent
position for your dehumidifier. If possible, leave interior doors ajar to allow air
circulation.
Alternatively, if you have a serious problem in one area you can begin by positioning
the dehumidifier there and later moving it to a more central point.
For the most effective use, run your dehumidifier with external doors and windows
kept closed when the dehumidifier is operating.
Please note the unit should not be placed directly against a radiator or other heat
source.
When positioning your AMCOR dehumidifier, ensure that it is placed securely on a
level surface clear of any obstacle that may limit the air movement.
Your AMCOR dehumidifier is fitted with 4 wheels for easy movement.
Before you move the unit, switch it off and empty the water tank.

will
Remarks:
1. The unit does not run when the set humidity level is higher than the relative
humidity in the room.
2. To protect the compressor from possible damage, please wait three minutes after
turning off the unit before switching back on again.
3. The working temperature is 5 - 35 °C.
4. When the unit runs the expelled air is warmer than the room air.
5. When the unit does not start (indicator light [3] is out), check if cable and

EMPTYING THE WATER TANK
When the water tank is full, the unit will switch off automatically and the
indicator [4] will illuminate.
At this time, please empty the water tank as follows:
• Slowly slide out the tank squarely using the recess at the
bottom of the water tank as shown.
• Holding the handle inside the container, pull it slightly up and
then pull out gently for easy removal.
• Once emptied, gently push the water tank back into place
checking the
indicator light is off.
If the tank is not in the correct position the indicator light will
stay on.
Continuous drainage
Optional: For the continuous drainage facility please refer to the following:
1. Remove the water cap from the tube beneath the unit.
* Please keep the rubber plug safely for future use.
2. Fit a hose with an inside diameter of 11 mm over the drainage spout.
3. Ensure the water will always drain away freely and the hose will remain in place.
4. If you no longer need to drain continuously, take off the water tube and replace
the rubber plug. The water will then drain into the container.
Note: In very cold weather conditions, precautions should be taken to prevent the
drainage hose from freezing.

CLEANING
Always unplug the unit from the mains before carrying out any maintenance or
cleaning the unit.
Cleaning the body
Only use a soft cloth to wipe the unit clean.
Do not use volatile chemicals, petrol, detergents, chemically treated cloths or other
harmful cleansing solutions. These could all possibly damage the cabinet.
Cleaning the air filter
This dehumidifier is equipped with a washable anti-dust filter and an active carbon
odour eating filter. These will capture most airborne pollutants like dust, smoke,
animal dander, mould spores and pollen and absorb most unwanted stale odours to
create a less irritating living environment for your enjoyment.
It is advisable to check the filters on a regular basis (at least monthly and after
storage) and clean or change as necessary following the guidelines below.
1. Extract the filter holder.
2. Unclip the frame and remove the washable and
carbon filters. Use warm water with a small
amount of medium strength detergent to wash
the filter and rinse under the cold water tap.
3. Make sure the filter is dry before replacing.
4. The black slim line active carbon filter can be
vacuum cleaned only. *To fix the active carbon
filter in position, please hook it onto the plastic
frame as indicated.
* Replace however every 3-6 months.
Note: Do not expose the filter to sunlight or other
sources of direct heat as this may cause the filter
and frame to warp.
LONG TERM STORAGE
If the dehumidifier is not used for long periods of time, follow these steps:
• disconnect the unit and wrap the power cable.
• if used, empty the water container.
• clean the unit and filter, pack it in its original packaging or cover to protect
against dust.
• store the unit in an upright position in a cool, dry place away from access by
children.
